I have been doing yoga since I was 14 years old. I needed to find a way to control my struggles as a child. I became a yoga instructor when I was 20 and began my journey as a healer for myself and others. I studied at Kripalu* and learned about meditation in motion to help people heal their bodies and mind.
I returned to continue my education and added Ayurveda to the list. Learning this added an extra tool for myself and my clients. I will continue my education in Ayurveda as I find the benefits to be an endless fountain.
I attempted to be a professional snowboarder around 2013 and was greeted with many injuries that turned my direction back to healing and being more gentle to myself. Discovering my weaknesses and bringing myself back to health allowed me the compassion and empathy to understand the steps it takes to heal. I focus on personal classes as I discovered that every individual is different and I became fascinated by the multiple layers of each person. I hope to help people find peace and discover their connection with their mind, body, and soul.
I prefer to teach mindfulness in hopes that it helps us prevent injury and live healthier and happier lives.
I am not a physical therapist or a doctor, what I do is teach preventative measures.
I had compression fractures in my spine, a hematoma on my leg, nerve damage to my arms and legs, and hyperextended achilles tendons, as well as other injuries I could add to the list being young and wild.
Through these difficult lessons, I turned back to Yoga and recently added Ayurveda to the list of healing methods.
I studied the power of conscious movement and meditation to reactivate cells and regrow neurons in my brain after multiple concussions.
This was a huge stepping stone for my journey to healing and helping others.
I brought yoga with me everywhere. It became my secret weapon. I found that mindfulness was the key. I rebuilt and recovered one breath at a time.
I felt blessed to have gone through every single pain because it all became a lesson to improve my understanding of what it means to heal, but also what it means to stay one step ahead.
By preparing properly for an activity I was more likely not to injure myself. I now prepare consciously before any activity and I am so grateful to have learned this skill.
I am so excited to share it with the world.
I can't guarantee that no injury will ever happen again, but by introducing meditation and mindfulness, it's less likely.
